Overview

By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Janta24.

Janta24 is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.

The Janta24 app stores and processes personal data that you have provided to us, in order to provide my Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and it could mean that the Janta24 app won’t work properly or at all.

You should be aware that there are certain things that Janta24 will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider, but Janta24 cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.

If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.

Along the same lines, Janta24 cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app i.e. You need to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, Janta24 cannot accept responsibility.

With respect to Janta24 responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavour to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Janta24 accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.

At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android – the requirements for system(and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Janta24 does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the Android version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.

Post Content on Janta24

By accepting the terms and conditions, you accept that you provide us with content, or view content provided by others, you are doing so at your own discretion and risk including accuracy, completeness of this content. Janta24 possesses all the rights to either accept, reject and edit the content.

As a user, you can submit any content to us for publication, including any letters, comments, or other correspondence, graphics, images and videos.

You understand that you are the owner and responsible for content that you post, upload, transmit, share or otherwise make available on, through or in connection with the services (collectively, “User Content”). You agree not use the services to take any action that could harm us or anyone else, interfere with the services, or use the services in a manner that violates any law. You warrant that the content you submit to us does not infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual or proprietary or privacy right of any party or individual.

User Content Standards

• Bullying and Harassment:

We are strictly against bullying or harassment. Janta24 gives you a platform to share and know what's happening in your surroundings and not to harass or bully people who post something. Examples of activities that comes under harassment and bullying are:
1. To degrade someone
2. Use of fake or altered pictures to defame people
3. Posting of content which can be inappropriate for any individual
4. Posting of people's personal information in order to blackmail them
5. Reporting people with no appropriate reason

• Public Figures:

Janta24 allows one to post content regarding public figures, but if someone tries to shame a public figure, threaten them or post any hate speech or comments, then such content will be removed.

• Violence and Graphic Content:

When people share issues involving violence and graphic images of public interest or concern, such as human rights abuses or acts of terrorism to either criticize it or raise awareness about it, we remove graphical content that supports or looks like it supports violence.

• Threat:

We remove content that implies threats of physical harm, theft, financial harm or vandalism to individuals after careful review of the content. We consider things such as a person's physical location or public visibility in determining whether a threat is credible.

• Criminal Activity:

Addressing criminal activities to debate, advocate or make people aware about it is fully allowed on Janta24 platform. But, we do not support or allow any criminal activity that causes harm to people, businesses or animals, where the harm done can be physical or financial. Law enforcement is used when we find a genuine risk of physical harm or direct threats to public safety.

• Self-Violence:

Janta24 doesn't promote or encourage any act or thought in support of self-violence or suicide. The content posted regarding any such activities is to make users aware that each life matters and self-violence or suicide is not a solution to any problem. Users can post content about self-injury and suicide as long as they do not promote / endorse them. We only remove content that identifies any victim or survivor of self-injury or suicide and targets them for attack.

• Restricted Organisations and Groups:

Janta24 doesn't support organisations or groups that engage, promote, endorse or participate in any illegal, terrorist and criminal activity. It also doesn't allow support for any member of such groups.

• Sexual Harassment, Violence and Exploitation:

Janta24 doesn't allows any content that threatens, promotes or supports sexual harassment, violence or exploitation. In order to do so we allow content that creates awareness about such activities, content that can help victims gain justice, content that can be used to punish the culprits. But we do not allow media or text that includes sexual content, threats to share intimate images, and offers of sexual services.

• Nudity:

Janta24 doesn't allow display of nudity as some audiences within our community may not support or like it. We don't allow images or digital content of people displaying intimate parts such as genitals, fully exposed buttocks or female breasts including nipples and also text description that contains feel details to any sexual act. We allow paintings, sculptures and other art images that depict nude figures.. Explicit images of sexual intercourse are prohibited. We are working to improve evaluation of such content.

• Regulated Goods:

Our platform doesn't support or allow any content that deals with unauthorised businesses that purchase, sell or trade drugs, ammunition, etc. Janta24 is neither a sales and purchase nor a marketing platform.

• Hate Speech:

Janta24 doesn't allow any user to defame, harass, abuse, harm or bully any other user. It doesn't allow content that targets someone's race, origin, nationality, religion, sex, gender, disabilities or disease. If any user is sharing content containing someone else's hate speech then they should mention the purpose of educating others about that hate speech and not to support it. We appreciate responsible and respectful behaviour in our users.

Reporting any Abuse

We at Janta24 do not support or entertain any abusive content. We appreciate your presence and support, but we will also appreciate your feedback and report regarding anything that would help us improve our platform's functionalities and will eradicate any abusive or harmful content from our platform. Any content like post, image, video, name or comment will be removed if it violates any local laws or Community Standards. We conduct careful legal review and we find that the content is illegal under local law, then we may make it unavailable only in the relevant country or territory.

When you report content, please tell us why the content should be removed so that we can send it to the right person for review. You can customise and control what you see by following, unfollowing, liking, reporting and sharing the posts, people, pages and applications. You can resolve issues by simply getting in touch with us or with the person who posts any offensive or inappropriate content.

Account Block/Remove

Any violation of the above terms and conditions may jeopardize future use of the service, and upon any such violation, such account may be subject to immediate suspension or termination.

Changes to This Terms and Conditions

Janta24 may revise these terms at any time. After any change in the above terms, you agree to be bound by all of the changes. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
